2025 | Rivian South Coast Theater
Overview
Let It Kill You, directed by Ben McQueen, chronicles the inspiring journey of Nora Vasconcellos, who left Pembroke, Massachusetts, for Southern California in pursuit of a career as a professional skateboarder. The transition wasn’t easy—sharing a bed with her mom while adjusting to a new world—but her perseverance paid off. Connecting with Welcome Skateboards at its inception, Nora quickly rose to prominence, not just as a leading figure in women's skateboarding but as a force within the sport as a whole.
With her vibrant personality, artistic vision, and raw, powerful skating, Nora redefined what it means to be a pro skater. As the first female skateboarder signed by Adidas, she shattered barriers and carved her own path in action sports. Let It Kill You offers a glimpse into her relentless drive, creative expression, and deep love for skateboarding, capturing a life lived fully on and off the board.
