Shot almost entirely on 16mm, Queens of the Break gives credit to the pioneers of women’s surfing in the 805 and celebrates a friendship that has spanned over 50 years. As the first generation of women in the Santa Barbara Surf Club, they carved the paths for future generations and broke the stereotype of women in the surf culture of Southern California.
